Maine Guide Preparation Course

The format of this course is designed to prepare individuals working to become Registered Maine Guides for the licensing exam. This class will help to develop an understanding of what to expect from the test and will cover the 4 sections including map & compass, the catastrophic event, the oral exam, and the written exam. Whether you are preparing yourself to take the test or you are looking to make yourself a more well-rounded outdoor enthusiast, you’ll find this course informative and educational.

Recreation Sessions: This course is appropriate for those looking to guide in the genre’s of Canoeing, Stand-Up Paddle Boarding on in-land waters, Backpacking, or Hiking

Dates:  February 14th, 21st, 28th & March 7th, 2018; 6pm – 8pm

Sea Kayak Sessions: This course is appropriate for those looking to guide client’s in the genre’s of Coastal Sea Kayaking & Coastal Stand-Up Paddle Boarding

Dates:  January 10th, 17th, 24th, & 31st, 2018; 6pm – 8pm

What’s Included:  ME Guide Workbook, homework assignments, and ongoing assistance through your testing process

What you need: Sea Kayak: Pencil, paper, parallel rules, and dividers; Recreation: Pencil, paper, compass (Silva Ranger or like compass), and straight edge
